The Journey Begins!

Hi everyone! We began our trek to Boston today by driving from home to Roanoke, Virginia. We made it safely to our hotel and are trying to rest a bit before we resume the driving tomorrow. Ellie the cat survived the first day. She did great in the car, but she's now cowering in the hotel bathroom buried under a blanket. Hopefully she will sleep well as we sort of smuggled her in to this hotel. :-) Anyway, the scenery in North Carolina and Virginia has been absolutely beautiful, and we look forward to continuing the journey after some sleep!
